1967 - 25th wedding anniversary

Many things happened in the years between 1967 and 2006 but here are a few pictures from my last long road trip with Grandma in September of 2006.  I flew her to Montana then surprised her with a trip out to see Valerie in Washington.  Along the way we spent a night in Glacier National Park.

We went with Valerie to Hood River, out to Cannon Beach to see Haystack Rock and to the beautiful rose garden in Portland.  The roses were still beautiful in September but must have been even more so earlier in the summer.

And of course there was the ever present afghan.  She was making this one for Clint and Tammy's baby and as soon as she heard Mikaela had been born her main focus turned to finishing the afghan.

Not sure how many years we'll still have Grandma around or how much longer she'll be able to live alone but she's not doing bad for being 90 years old.  Hope to see you at the big party - she is so excited.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
